Earliest Mothers Day celebration was done in Greece to honor Rhea, the Mother of Gods in the 1600th Century. Much later Mothers Day celebration was suggested by Julia Ward Howe in 1872. President Wilson made an official announcement in 1914 as to dedicate a day for Mothers; since then 2nd Sunday of the month May is regarded as the Mothers Day.
